Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) is inviting applications for the engagement of a Field Assistant under the ICMR NOHM funded project implemented at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pookode, Wayanad.
Job Overview
The recruitment is for the project titled “Epidemiology of avian influenza viruses in birds, livestock and pet animals in the animal- human environment interface and their transmission potential in a mammalian model”. The appointment is purely time-bound on a contractual basis for a period of 36 months and is co-terminus with the project. The selected candidate must be willing to work at Pookode, Wayanad, and travel to different districts of Kerala for field visits and sample collection.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: VHSE (Dairy farmer Entrepreneurship/Poultry production).
- Desirable: Training in Veterinary Nursing, Pharmacy and laboratory techniques.
- Desirable: Knowledge in computer applications, data organization/ management/ report preparation/ writing, power point presentation etc.
Selection Process
Applicants will be short-listed for the selection interview based on eligibility criteria. The selection of suitable candidates will be made based on qualifications and performance in the selection interview. The date, time, and venue of the interview will be intimated through email.

Suitably qualified candidates may send their applications by post in the prescribed format (Annexure- I) with a photograph, a copy of a full resume indicating the percentage of marks obtained, and self-attested photocopies of credentials and experience to reach the undersigned on or before the deadline.

- No TA/DA will be paid to the applicants for appearing in the interview.
- The incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR/ University. At the end of the contract period, the Field Assistant will have no right to claim any employment or engagement in the ICAR/ KVASU.
- Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification of the candidature or termination even after appointment.
