Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be citizens of India. Educational qualification and age will be reckoned as on 10-04-2026 (closing date).
- Educational Qualification (All Posts): Must have passed Class X / Matric or equivalent from a recognised Board.
- For Constable Band (IRBn): 10th pass with knowledge of playing band.
- For Constable Bugler (IRBn): 10th pass with knowledge of playing bugle.
Age Limit
The age limit is determined as on 10-04-2026.
- Constable Band, Bugler, IRBn, Civil Police (Male & Female): 18–22 years.
- Fireman, Special Tiger Guard (STPF): 18–32 years.
- Age Relaxation: APST candidates are allowed up to 5 years relaxation over the upper age limit. Ex-Servicemen are allowed relaxation as per rules.
Physical Standards (PST) Highlights

Pay Scale
All posts are in Level-3 of the Pay Matrix (₹21,700–69,100).

Selection Process
The selection will be done through multiple stages.
- Stage I: Written Examination (Objective Type, 200 marks, 2 hours). Subjects include General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, and English Language & Comprehension. There is no negative marking.
- Stage II: Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Trade Test (where applicable). A Trade Test in playing band/bugle is conducted for Constable Band & Bugler posts. Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET & Trade Test but must qualify PST.
- Stage III: Medical Fitness Test.
