BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The institute conducts innovative translational research to translate concepts into products to improve human health. THSTI has announced a recruitment notification for the positions of Technical Assistant (Community Awareness) and Project Scientist (Pharmacist) under the project “Optimized salicylamide derivatives and prodrugs for the treatment of influenza infections”.
Job Overview
THSTI is conducting a walk-in interview for short-term positions. The recruitment is for a Technical Assistant having experience in community engagement and a Project Scientist with M.Pharma qualification and experience in clinical trial or hospital pharmacy. These positions are temporary and extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance and tenure of the project.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualification and experience requirements before applying:
Technical Assistant (Community Awareness)
- Essential Qualification & Experience: Graduate degree in Social Sciences/ Public Health/ Life Sciences from a recognized university with atleast three (3) years’ experience in community engagement.
- Desirable: Candidate having prior experience in building volunteer databases will be preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are desirable.
Project Scientist (Pharmacist)
- Essential Qualification & Experience: M.Pharma from a recognized university with atleast three (3) years’ of post-qualification experience in clinical trial pharmacy or hospital pharmacy. The candidate must have a valid registration certificate from State Pharmacy Council and knowledge of drug storage and dispensing regulations.
- Desirable: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Note: The experience requirement specified above shall be the experience acquired after obtaining the minimum educational qualifications specified for the post.
Age Limit
- Technical Assistant: 35 years
- Project Scientist (Pharmacist): 35 years
The date of interview will be the crucial date for determining eligibility with regard to age. Age relaxation is available for specific categories:
- SC/ST communities: By five years.
- OBC communities: By three years.
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): UR – ten years, OBC – 13 years, SC/ST – 15 years.
- Ex-servicemen: Upto the extent of service rendered in defense forces plus 3 years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months attested service.
- Central Government servants and Institute employees will get age relaxation as per rules.
Selection Process
- The selection will be made through a walk-in written test/skill test/interview.
- In case many candidates appear for the walk-in interview, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience.
How to Apply
Interested candidates fulfilling the criteria mentioned above may appear for the walk-in interview on the scheduled date and time. Candidates coming after the time slot mentioned will not be entertained.
