Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: Educated to degree level (biological science, pharmacy, or other health-related discipline preferred) or equivalent nursing qualification or relevant clinical other equivalent experience.
- Experience: Substantial monitoring/data management experience or equivalent experience in clinical research with strong understanding and knowledge of the clinical trials environment. Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate direct reports.
- Skills: Competent in local language and written English. Oral English competency is preferred. Maintain a working knowledge of, and assure compliance with, applicable ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, Regulatory Agency requirements, Parexel SOPs, and where applicable, sponsor SOPs.
Job Description
The Clinical Operations Manager will be responsible for the following key areas:
- Project Delivery Management: Monitor performance through interaction with project/functional leadership. Ensure accurate project documentation. Act as a senior-level contributor, ensuring high quality and timely delivery of deliverables. Generate study-specific status reports. Provide consultation and develop action plans to keep projects on time and within budget. Manage team activities including resourcing, assignments, and quality control.
- Performance and Staff Management: Provide technical support to staff. Ensure direct reports meet productivity and quality metrics by conducting quality checks of deliverables (e.g., on-site visits, Central File documentation). Recruit, retain, and develop a skilled team. Manage staff performance through training and mentoring. Participate in formal staff review processes.
- Client Management and Business Development: Support efforts for generating business leads, participate in project bids including client presentations, and coordinate client activities where appropriate.
- General Operations: Participate in system/standards improvement activities. Maintain an agreed level of productivity/billability. Complete routine administrative tasks. Maintain a positive work environment. Manage employees from multiple disciplines and demonstrate leadership within the department.
