NIPER Hyderabad is inviting applications for the post of one Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. This role is for a Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India sponsored project under the supervision of Dr. Manoj P. Dandekar in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at NIPER Hyderabad. The position is for a period of 1 year.
Job Overview
The selected candidate will work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on the project titled “Impact of STN and ALIC Deep Brain Stimulation on cognitive improvement in obsessive-compulsive disorder model.” There is one vacancy available. The salary for this position is Rs. 31,000/- per month plus HRA as per norms.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualifications: Candidates must hold a Post-Graduate degree in Basic Science or a Post-Graduate degree in a professional course as per DST OM No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019.
- Desirable Qualifications: An M. Pharm. or M. S. Pharm with Pharmacology specialization is preferable. The candidate must have qualified at least in one of the GPAT/GATE/CSIR/UGC/ICMR entrance tests. Expertise in in-vivo studies, rodent’s neurobehavioral assessments, stereotaxic surgery, and molecular techniques (RT- PCR, western blot, immunohistochemistry, etc.) is desired. Candidates with sound knowledge and demonstrated experience (e.g., Masters project thesis) in the field of neuropsychiatric disorders are preferred.
Age Limit
The age limit is as per DST norms on the last date of the application. Age relaxation will be provided as per DST, GoI norms.
