The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is inviting applications for one contractual position of Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) for a time-bound sponsored project titled “Structure-guided engineering of a viroporin-defective Chikungunya virus strain as a live-attenuated vaccine candidate”. This project is funded by ICMR and is tenable till 17.01.2028.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must have secured a First-Class M.Sc degree with qualified NET (such as CSIR, DBT, ICMR etc. or an equivalent examination. Or with a Second-class M.Sc degree and a qualified NET (CSIR, DBT, ICMR etc) or equivalent examinations, the candidate must have at least three years of research experience in a reputed institute or a PhD.
- Must have at least two publications in an internationally reputed journal.
- Desirable: Must have knowledge in the area of cell signalling and viral Immunology
Emoluments
The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute rules, depending upon qualification & experience: Rs. 56,000/- per month plus 30% HRA (As per funding agency norms).
Job Description
Must have basic expertise in biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology techniques.
