
The National Institute of Immunology (NII) is inviting applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (Project) for a time-bound sponsored project titled “Targeting methyltransferases in anti- BCMA CAR-T cells to enhance its antitumor efficacy against multiple myeloma” funded by Lady Tata Memorial Trust (LTMT). This position is purely on a contract basis.
Job Overview
NII is looking for one Junior Research Fellow (Project) to join a research project focusing on CAR-T cell generation and epigenetic modifications, tenable till December 2028.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualifications: Masters Degree in Biochemistry, Immunology, Biotechnology, Life science or related fields. NET-JRF or equivalent National-Level fellowship examination qualification is desirable. Must have at least two publications in an internationally reputed journal.
- Essential Skills: Proficiency in maintaining T cell cultures and working with lentiviral vectors. Knowledge of flow cytometry and basic skills in data analysis software (e.g., FlowJo) is mandatory. Experience with PCR, DNA extraction, and cloning techniques.
- Desirable: Bioinformatics: Understanding of bioinformatics tools such as AutoDock, AMBER and other tools for data analysis.

Selection Process
Only Short-listed candidates will be called for interview. The interviews will be held in offline/online mode. Candidates must submit attested copies of all their certificates if called for interview.

Important Instructions
- The selected candidates will draw consolidated emoluments as per Institute Rules: Rs. 37,000/- per month plus 27% HRA (As per DST OM dated 26.06.2023).
- The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or till the duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
- No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
- Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
