Applications are invited for the Summer Internship Programme at Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (IIT Ropar). This non-fellowship internship commences on 15th May, 2026, and concludes on 15th July, 2026. The programme will be conducted in offline mode.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to apply online from IITs, NITs, IISERs, National Labs, Centrally funded technical Institutions, CEAs, Government Universities, Private institutions/Universities. Applications are also invited from Indian Academy of Sciences, DST Inspire or Similar organization.

Hostel Accommodation
Hostel accommodation on a sharing basis will be provided subject to availability on a chargeable basis. The application for accommodation must reach the office of Dean of Student Affairs through the faculty supervisor and the HOD for permission. This application is only to be made after being selected for the internship. The cost towards food, accommodation, and access to other amenities must be paid by the student. Accommodation is available only if a student pursues the internship between 15th May, 2026, to 15th July, 2026.
Financial Assistance
No financial assistance will be provided to the candidates for this internship.
How to Apply
- Candidates must apply online for the Summer Internship Programme 2026.
- The candidates must select a Research Supervisor in their relevant field of study/course.
- There is an option in the form to select at most 3 Research Supervisors.
- The candidates are required to do their internship in one department under one supervisor only.
