Job Overview
The recruitment is for a Project Associate – I position for an Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) sponsored project titled “Scalable Detection of Brick Kilns from Low-Resolution Satellite Imagery for Environmental Compliance”. This project is at the intersection of machine learning, computer vision, and Earth observation.
Eligibility Criteria
- Mandatory Qualifications: Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / B.Pharm / Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine, from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desired Qualifications:
- Expertise in machine learning, data processing and analysis.
- Prior experience in Python platforms such as Anaconda, and Python notebooks along with basic versioning system (Git & Github) knowledge.
- Implementation experience of at least one ML project.
- Evidence of excellent Python coding skills.
- Experience of writing research papers.
- Domain expertise in remote sensing is an added bonus.
Remuneration
- Rs. 37,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through: (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE, or (b) A selection process through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
- Rs. 30,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under the above category.
