Job Overview
IISER Tirupati is conducting a Walk-in Interview for the recruitment of Junior Research Fellow / Project Associate I posts. The position is for the project titled “To develop novel antiviral platforms and identify drugs against henipaviruses such as Nipah virus and Hendra virus,” funded by Open Philanthropy under Principal Investigator Prof. Guruprasad R. Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / В.Pharm or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering / Biotechnology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in mammalian cell culture, virus assays, protein expression and purification, molecular biology techniques.
Age Limit
Not more than 30 years on the date of the interview.

- The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on the termination of the research project.
- The initial offer will be for six months and renewable subject to satisfactory performance. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum, and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview.
- No TA/DA will be admissible for appearing for the interview.
- Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
- Candidates selected for this position can also apply for the regular PhD program of IISER Tirupati, provided they satisfy eligibility criteria.
