Eligibility Criteria
1. Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical)
- Essential: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Cognitive & Neuroscience / Clinical Pharmacy / Public Health / Psychiatric Social Work / Social Work / Sociology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Chemistry with 5 years post-qualification experience OR Postgraduate degree in the above fields with PhD + 2 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Desirable: Experience in Public Health / Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals.
2. Project Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)
- Essential: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Cognitive & Neuroscience / Clinical Pharmacy / Public Health / Psychiatric Social Work / Social Work / Sociology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Chemistry with 3 years post-qualification experience OR Postgraduate degree in the above fields with PhD.
- Desirable: Experience in Public Health / Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals.
3. Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical)
- Essential: Postgraduate degree in Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Cognitive & Neuroscience / Clinical Pharmacy / Public Health / Psychiatric Social Work / Social Work / Sociology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Chemistry.
- Desirable: Experience in Public Health / Implementation Research with Publications in Peer-Reviewed Journals.
4. Project Technical Support – III
- Essential: Graduate degree with Clinical Psychology / Psychology / Cognitive & Neuroscience / Clinical Pharmacy / Public Health / Psychiatric Social Work / Social Work / Sociology / Statistics / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Zoology / Chemistry with 3 years’ post-qualification experience OR Post Graduate Degree in the mentioned fields.
- Desirable: Experience in Public Health/Implementation research.
Age Limit (as on date of walk-in interview)
- Project Research Scientist-III: Not exceeding 45 years.
- Project Research Scientist-II: Not exceeding 40 years.
- Project Research Scientist-I: Not exceeding 35 years.
- Project Technical Support – III: Not exceeding 35 years.
Age relaxation is admissible for SC / ST / OBC candidates, retrenched Government Employees, Departmental Candidates, and Ex-servicemen in accordance with Government instructions. SC / ST / OBC will be given age relaxation for reserved project positions only.
Selection Process
- The selection will be made through a Walk-in-interview / written test.
- Only eligible candidates will appear for the Walk-in-interview / written test.
- If there are more than 30 candidates, a written test may be conducted.
- Qualifying marks for the written test: SC / ST: 35%; UR / OBC / EWS: 40%.
- Candidates scoring qualifying marks in the written test shall be interviewed.
- The final merit shall be prepared on the basis of marks from the written test and interview. If a written test is not conducted (fewer than 30 candidates), merit will be based on interview marks only.
How to Apply
- Applications will be received from individuals by hand on the date of the Walk-in-interview / written test at ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur.
- Candidates reporting after the scheduled date/time will not be allowed to appear.
- Candidates already employed should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their present Employer / PI at the time of the Walk-in-interview / written test.
- At the time of joining duty, candidates must bring all original certificates of educational qualifications (from SSC onwards), SC / ST / OBC / EWS certificate, Experience certificate, Aadhaar Card, PwBD Certificate (if applicable), passport size photograph, and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification.
- Candidates applying for more than one project position should apply separately for each position.

Important Instructions
- The positions are purely on a temporary basis, initially for up to one year, and are extendable. The position is terminus at any point in time.
- The place of work is ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur, or anywhere in India based on project requirements.
- No TA / DA will be given for attending the Walk-in-interview / written test.
- Candidates who have rendered service in ICMR Projects / ICMR Institutes for more than three years are not eligible for this Walk-in.
- Electronic gadgets such as laptops, tablets, mobile phones, smartwatches, etc., are not allowed inside the Examination Hall / Interview.
Interested candidates fulfillng the eligibility criteria are encouraged to attend the walk-in interview at ICMR-NIIRNCD, Jodhpur, on the specified dates with all necessary documents.
