The Indian Institute of Toxicology Research (IITR), Lucknow, a constituent laboratory of CSIR, has announced a walk-in interview for purely temporary engagement as Project Staff under various CSIR/externally funded projects.

Job Overview

CSIR-IITR, Lucknow is recruiting for multiple project-based positions including Project Associate-I & II, Project Technical Support-III, and Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) on a temporary basis. Eligible and interested candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview.

Important Dates

  • Walk-in Interview Date for Post Codes 1 to 07: 01.04.2026 at 9.00 A.M.
  • Walk-in Interview Date for Post Codes 08 to 14: 02.04.2026 at 9.00 A.M.
  • Reporting Time: 9.00 AM (Candidates not allowed after 10.00 AM).

8 / Project Research Scientist-I (Non- Medical) (01)M.Pharm or MSc/M.Tech degree in Biotechnology/Toxicology/Biochemistry/Biological Sciences/any branch of Life Sciences/Microbiology/Neurosciences.
9 / Project Associate-I (05)Master’s degree in Veterinary Science/Zoology/Toxicology/Biotechnology/ Pharmacology.

12 / Project Associate-II (02)Master’s degree in Environmental Science/Chemistry WITH 2-Years of experience. OR M.Tech in Civil/ Environmental/Chemical Engineering.
13 / Project Associate-II (01)Master’s degree in Chemistry. AND 2 years of experience in the area of metal analysis, analytical chemistry, reference material development.
14 / Project Associate-IMaster’s degree in Chemistry / Pharm (Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharm. Chemistry/Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology) or M.Tech in Biotechnology.

Age Limit

The upper age limit is 35 years. Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST, physically handicapped and female candidates and 3 years in case of OBC(Non- Creamy Layer) candidates.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on performance in the walk-in interview before the selection committee.

How to Apply

  • Eligible candidates must report for the interview at CSIR-Indian Toxicological Research Institute, Toxicology Bhawan, 31 Mahatma Gandhi Marg Lucknow 226001 on the specified dates and time.
  • Candidates must bring the duly filled application form, which can be downloaded from the institute website.
  • Attested copies of mark sheets/certificates and latest passport size photograph must be submitted with the application.
  • Original educational/experience certificates must be produced for verification; otherwise, candidates will not be allowed to interview.

  • The engagement is purely temporary, on a contract basis, and co-terminus with the projects.
  • The period of experience shall be counted after the date of acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualification.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
