The Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) has issued a recruitment notification for the high-level position of Scientist-H. Established through the ANRF Act, 2023, the foundation aims to provide strategic direction for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship across natural sciences, engineering, technology, health, and agriculture. ANRF invites applications from eligible candidates to fill this vacancy under Pay Level-15.
Job Overview
ANRF is looking to fill one vacancy for the post of Scientist-H. The recruitment may be conducted through Direct Recruitment, Deputation (including short-term contract), or Contractual appointment through the open market. The selected candidate will be placed in Level-15 of the Pay Matrix (Rs. 182200-224100) and is liable to be posted anywhere in India as per government requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet specific educational and experience requirements based on the mode of recruitment.
Educational Qualifications:
- Essential: Doctorate degree from a recognized University or institute in disciplines specified in Schedule I (Chemical Sciences or Biological Sciences); OR Master’s Degree from a recognized University or institute in disciplines specified in Schedule II (Pharmaceutical Sciences or Biotechnology).
- Desirable: Post Doctorate degree in Schedule I disciplines (where Doctorate is essential) or Doctorate Degree in Schedule II disciplines (where Master’s is essential).
Experience:
- Twenty-one years of experience in Research and Development in Industry, Academic Institutions, Science and Technology Organizations, private sector, overseas institutions, or NGOs.
- At least ten years of this experience should be in planning, administration, and development of organization and coordination of Science and Technology programs at a senior level (Level 13 and above for direct recruitment).
- Experience in evolving, managing, and directing science and technology programs, along with published research work of a high standard.
Note for Deputation: Candidates must hold an analogous post on a regular basis or have three years of service in level-14 (Rs.144200- 218200/-) or equivalent in their present cadre or department.
Age Limit
- For Direct Recruits: The upper age limit shall not exceed 52 years. This is relaxable for Government servants up to five years in accordance with Central Government instructions.
- For Deputation / Contractual appointment: The maximum age limit shall not exceed 58 years as on the closing date of receipt of application.
- The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date for receipt of applications from candidates in non-remote areas.
Selection Process
The selection process involves internal shortlisting by a Screening Committee based on the information provided in the applications. The CVs of applicants will be examined by a competent Selection Committee to shortlist candidates for an interview. Selection will be based on the suitability and availability of the candidate, keeping in view the requirements and objectives of the ANRF.

- The online portal shall be available for a period of 37 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in Employment News/Rozgar Samachar.
- Candidates must upload self-attested copies of relevant certificates in support of educational qualifications, date of birth, experience, and a photograph along with the application form.
- Candidates working in Government Departments/Public Sector Undertakings/Autonomous Organizations/Universities must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their competent authority.
- Submission of hard copies of applications is not required.

Important Instructions
- Candidates will have to produce original certificates, NOC, or any other documents mentioned in the application at the time of the interview for verification.
- Outstation candidates called for the interview will be paid Second AC railway fare for the shortest route for the to & fro journey within the country, subject to the production of railway tickets.
- ANRF officers are not covered by the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) but will be governed by ANRF medical rules.
- Officers are entitled to House Rent Allowance as per ANRF/Government of India rules but are not eligible for allotment of residential accommodation out of the General Pool.
- Any legal proceeding arising out of this advertisement can be instituted only in Delhi courts/tribunals.
