
The St. John’s Research Institute (SJRI) is a part of the St John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, which is run by the CBCI Society for Medical Education. The Academy decided in 2000 that its commitment to excellence in research required the setting up of an Institute that was dedicated to the pursuit of research and capacity development in St. John’s. Project Description
A three-arm randomized controlled trial to assess the effectiveness of Omega 3 supplements and Ibuprofen in improving muscle protein fractional synthesis rate among patients with pulmonary TB on Anti tubercular treatment and food supplements against standard of care in South India. The study will focus on anti-inflammatory strategies to overcome cachexia among patients with TB.
