Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is an internationally reputed centre of learning situated in Varanasi. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for one position of Project Associate II at the Centre of Experimental Medicine and Surgery, Institute of Medical Sciences. This recruitment is under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) funded project entitled “Ethnopharmcicological Investigation and Scientific Validation of the Medicinal Plant Tribulus terrestris for its Anti-inflammatory and Anticancer Potential” (Project Code: P-07/1350).
Job Overview
The project will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Vibhav Gautam. The appointment will be governed as per BHU project guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria
Essential Qualification: A four-year Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences or an M.Sc. in Zoology, Botany, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Applied Microbiology, or Life Sciences with at least 55% marks. Candidates must also possess either two years of research experience in a relevant field or a PhD.
Desirable Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on expertise in Natural Product Isolation, HPTLC, HPLC, Cell Culture, and Molecular Biology techniques (including RNA/DNA isolation and PCR/qRT-PCR).
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 50 years, in accordance with ANRF/OM/N-01/2024 dated 14-10-24.
Selection Process
Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email for the physical interview. No TA/DA will be paid if called for an interview. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GoI rules.
