The food and nutritional Biotechnology division at BRIC-NABI requires research personnel purely on a temporary basis.

BRIC-NABI is conducting a recruitment drive for various temporary research positions including Research Associate I (RA), Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Project Associate, and Field/Lab worker. These positions are for specific projects focused on agri-food biotech innovations, genomics-assisted crop improvement, and molecular mechanisms of nutritional interventions.

Position Details, Eligibility and Emoluments
1. Research Associate I (One position) – Project GAP-102
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in any branch of Life Sciences or Biotechnology with at least two peer-reviewed international publications in Science Citation indexed (SCI) journal.
- Desirable Experience: Candidates interested in genetics and genomics of crop species. Research experience in handling genomics data, GWAS and QTL analysis, NGS data analysis (genome sequencing & assembly, comparative genomics), and large-scale phenotyping/phenomics.
- Emoluments: Rs. 58000/- per month plus HRA.
- Age limit: 40 years (Relaxation admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates).
2. Field/Lab worker (One Position) – Project GAP-102
- Essential Qualification: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/Institute in Life Sciences/Agricultural Science/Biotechnology or any allied subjects OR Diploma in Engineering and technology in Agricultural Science/Biotechnology or any allied subjects.
- Emoluments: Rs. 20000/- per month plus HRA.
- Age limit: 50 Years.
3. Research Associate I (One position) – Project GAP-102 (Genome Editing)
- Essential Qualification: Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / Plant Sciences / Life Sciences or related discipline with at least two peer-reviewed international publications in Science Citation indexed (SCI) journal.
- Desirable Experience: Expertise in plant tissue culture (cereals/millets), Agrobacterium-mediated/biolistic transformation, CRISPR/Cas genome editing, Gateway cloning, and molecular characterization techniques (PCR, Southern/Western blotting).
- Emoluments: Rs. 58000/- per month plus HRA.
- Age limit: 40 years (Relaxation admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates).
4. Junior Research Fellow (One position) – Project GAP-66
- Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in professional course selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC-NET including Lectureship/GATE) or National Level examinations conducted by central government departments and their agencies (DST, DBT, ICMR, etc.).
- Desirable Experience: Prior experience in rice tissue culture, gateway cloning, western blotting, and CRISPR/Cas genome editing system.
- Emoluments: Rs. 31000/- per month plus HRA.
- Age limit: 28 Years (Relaxation admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD).
5. Project Associate (One Position) – Project GAP-102 (Nanotechnology Focus)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Agricultural Science/Biotechnology or allied subjects OR Master’s degree in these subjects selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE) or National Level examinations.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in nanotechnology/nano-biotechnology for biomolecule delivery in plants, nanoparticle synthesis, plant tissue culture/transformation, and basic molecular biology techniques. Experience in millet transformation/genome editing is preferred.
- Emoluments: Rs. 31000/- per month plus HRA or Rs. 25000/- per month plus HRA (As per norms).
- Age limit: 35 Years (Relaxation admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates).
6. Project Associate (One Position) – Project GAP-102 (Tissue Culture Focus)
- Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Life Sciences/Agricultural Science/Biotechnology or allied subjects OR Master’s degree in these subjects selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC-NET/GATE) or National Level examinations.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in plant tissue culture and transformation (preferred), basic molecular biology techniques. Experience in millet transformation or genome editing is preferred.
- Emoluments: Rs. 31000/- per month plus HRA or Rs. 25000/- per month plus HRA (As per norms).
- Age limit: 35 Years (Relaxation admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates).
7. Junior Research Fellow (One position) – Project NABI-Core
- Essential Qualification: Postgraduate degree in basic Science OR in Neuroscience, Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine, Biotechnology, or in professional course selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR-UGC NET/GATE) or National level examinations.
- Desirable Experience: Experience in small animal handling (mice/rats), stereotaxic brain injections, cell culture, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, and knowledge of neuroscience and immunology.
- Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA.
- Age limit: 28 years (Relaxation up to 5 years admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PD and women candidates).
Selection Process
- The selection will be conducted through a Walk-In-Interview.
- Candidates must ascertain their eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed.
