
Established in 1984, the Institute of Microbial Technology (IMTECH) is one among the chain of 37 national laboratories, 6 units and 39 outreach centres of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Set-up to be a fore-runner in the niche domain of microbial biotechnology, the Institute in its initial years functioned from a start-up laboratory that provided a truly world-class R&D ambience to its researchers.
Job Overview
CSIR-IMTECH is inviting applications for the position of Project Associate-I (PAT-I). There are 03 posts available under the project titled “Microbial Resource of authentic strains and related technical services: Ready-to-cater Indian Industry (TSP-003)” with Project Code TSP-003.
Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: Masters/ Integrated Masters in Natural or Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences/ MVSc/ Animal Sciences OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University.
- Desirable Qualification: Experience in handling microbial cultures, including culturing, molecular identification, and preservation.
Age Limit
The upper age limit is 35 years. Relaxation in the age limit for candidates belonging to the category of SC/ ST/ PwBD/ Women is 05 years, and for the OBC category is 03 years.
